We are now looking for a Partner Technical Success Manager to join #TeamGreen in the UK. The role can be based from our Manchester-HQ, or remotely across the UK.
The Partner Technical Success Manager owns the technical enablement and adoption of Matillion for our consulting partners in order to establish the synergy where a partner's business success leads to Matillion business success. The role drives positive business outcomes that make our partners and our mutual customers successful with Matillion products from early in the shared customer engagement cycle through a successful joint GTM execution and post-sales support.
The Partner Technical Success Manager is responsible for technically enabling Matillion System Integrator (SI) consulting partners by ensuring their competency, capacity and delivery success in alignment with mutually agreed Technical Success Plans. This position will build and expand the technical and delivery capabilities of the strong worldwide ecosystem of SI partners via partner success management programs. The position will align closely with key functions including Alliances, Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Marketing, and Enablement.
What you'll be doing;
Technical Partner Engagement:
Establish a plan and technically enable partner resources to ensure high levels of product expertise, capacity and overall implementation success of partner projects
Guide and track partners along partner journeys, technical success plans for the accomplishment of our mutual goals
Evaluate SI partner performance based on metrics; health scoring, technical proficiency, delivery capacity, certification qualifications, lead generation and product positioning/demo activities
Oversee partner's escalations, represent partner issues and feedback with internal organisations (product, customer success, alliances, sales)
Partner Success Program Management:
Lead and build Technical Partner Success Programs, and technical elements of holistic partner programs, including but not limited to Partner Journey, Partner success planning, partner certifications, vertical/horizontal solution development, etc. collaborating with Alliances and other teams
Create and maintain collateral, including tools, best practices, training, demos, blogs, and topical workshops.
Partner Technical Trusted Advisor:
Establish and maintain trusted, high-confidence technical relationships between Matillion and our thriving network of consulting partners
Understand partner profile and requirements in supporting business strategy, sales motions, and implementations
Communicate effectively back to Matillion Alliances, Product, Sales and other teams any technical concerns, issues, or opportunities involving the specific partner or partners in general
Work closely with Partner Account Managers (PAMs) to align on shared partner management responsibilities across the business, sales, technical and implementation spectrum
Essential Skills:
6+ years experience and track record in technology partnerships: product & service relationships, dependencies, communication, structures
6+ years experience in ETL and Data Integration involving SQL
Strong consultative skills: building trust and confidence working on-site with partner and customer end-users
Hands-on technical experience delivering solutions using one of the MPP databases: Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Teradata, Netezza or Azure SQL Data Warehouse
Knowledge of one or more of the cloud computing platforms: AWS, GCP or Azure
Ability to communicate effectively to, and translate between, technical and business audiences
Desirable Skills:
Understanding of the Matillion deployment stack: Linux, Bash, Tomcat, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL
Working knowledge of Python or JavaCloud Ecosystem Devops experience
Understanding of Network security fundamentals
Experience with the software development lifecycle, under different project management styles
Experience developing training curriculum, service offerings, program level initiatives
Work experience at a Global Systems Integrator or National Systems Integrator
Personal Capabilities Required:
Ability to travel up to 30%-40% possibly, contingent on post pandemic work travel culture
Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Knack for collaboration and ability to prioritise effectively for mutual business benefit
A flexible and versatile approach, needed to handle the wide range of aspects involved in the role (including marketing, sales enablement, technical support, digital content, product feedback etc)
An intersection of technical skill and first-class partner communication
A self-confessed technology geek, with the ability to talk for hours about all things “data”
Ability to draw out and understand a partner’s and mutual customer’s unique technical requirements and business goals
