Users try it a few times, and never come back.

AI tools have a steeper learning curve than traditional software, and without structured learning, users bounce before they ever hit the “aha” moment. Every churned user is someone who wanted to learn but couldn’t figure out where to start.

Don’t let third-party courses and random videos educate your market. Set the credentialing standard in your industry, and make your certification the one customers put on their resume.

You probably have some questions

Yes! Most AI companies we work with don’t have a dedicated CE team when they start. Typically, it’s a product marketer, solutions engineer, or Customer Success lead who owns education as part of a broader role.

You can definitely ship an MVP in a weekend with a few catalog pages, some videos, and maybe a quiz. (We actually vibe-coded a front-end LMS to show how fast that part moves.) The real work is everything underneath: certifications, SSO, analytics tied to product adoption, embedding learning into other channels like your Community, commerce, security, and compliance. That’s months of engineering resources on infrastructure that doesn’t differentiate your product. The AI companies we work with have made the same call: build what makes your product unique, buy everything else.

Yes, Skilljar was built for this. The majority of our customers are B2B software companies training developers, data engineers, and platform admins. We deliver a consumer-grade learner experience, supporting hands-on formats like instructor-led training and video walkthroughs, alongside structured paths from onboarding to advanced certifications.

Absolutely. Many of our customers don’t use SCORM, and you don’t need to. Skilljar supports native content like video, text, quizzes, embedded labs, and external links without requiring any legacy e-learning format. And if you land an enterprise customer who hands you SCORM packages for compliance, Skilljar handles that too.

It depends on what you’re trying to do! For workflows like pulling learning data into your stack, triggering automation, or building custom experiences, you can connect your own models and AI tools through Skilljar’s API, webhook, and data connector. Native Skilljar features like AI Tutor and AI-generated quiz questions run on Skilljar’s AI infrastructure, with model selection managed on our end. If you want to build AI-powered workflows around Skilljar or route learning data through your own LLM, there’s a lot of flexibility we can discuss.

Most customers go live within 12 weeks, and AI companies with existing content often launch faster. Skilljar provides templates, a no-code page builder, and guided setup to get you started faster. Start with your highest-impact content, like the onboarding flow your CS team currently delivers manually, and iterate from there. Need a proven framework? See how Airtable launched their full academy in just 75 days, or walk through the step-by-step Implementation & Migration Playbook to plan your own rollout.

Skilljar integrates natively with Salesforce, Gainsight CS, Zendesk, Stripe, Credly, Zoom, and more, with full SSO support via SAML 2.0 and OIDC. It also offers APIs, a Data Connector, and webhooks to support everything else. You can push learning data to your data warehouse, trigger CRM workflows on certification completions, or sync learner progress with product analytics. For AI companies, what matters most is connecting learning activity to product usage so you can prove education drives adoption.

Skilljar’s AI strategy focuses on three areas: faster admin workflows through AI recommendations and insights; personalized learning that adapts to each user’s role and goals; and content structured for LLM delivery, whether that’s in-app or through AI assistants. The long-term vision is Skilljar as the content intelligence layer that meets your users wherever they are.
