Pulse 2022: 14 Speakers You Don’t Want to Miss!

It’s been two years since the last full in-person Pulse. Now, the experience is back! And we are going to celebrate.

But it’s not only the excitement about the return of Pulse to the Moscone West Center, attendees, vendors, speakers, parodies, and, of course, the puppies. Gainsight wants to celebrate you! We made it through one of the most challenging times in history. Now, we can’t wait to see you and share everything that we have learned since our last time together.

One of the best parts of the in-person experience of Pulse is the caliber of speakers that are present to share their knowledge and expertise with us all. No other event has the level of brain trust that Gainsight has invited. Why? Gainsight is not just about customer success. We are about Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and customer retention. We are about product-led growth. We are about CS Operations. We are about Community. Above all, we are human first. With all these subjects to address, we don’t want to limit our subject matter expert speakers. So, here are just a few of the names coming to the Pulse stage. Let’s celebrate them!

A CEO Panel With Yamini Rangan and Yancey Spruill

Every year, Gainsight’s CEO, Nick Mehta, invites fellow CEOs to sit with him and discuss their views, insights, and trends impacting customer success and business as a whole. This year, Nick asked Yamini Rangan and Yancey Spruill to the keynote stage at Pulse.

Yamini is the CEO of Hubspot. As many know, Hubspot is a leading CRM platform. Not only do they provide companies with the right software and support to scale their business, but they were also voted the #4 place to work by Glassdoor in 2021. Hubspot is an incredible organization that understands both the customer and employee experience. That couldn’t happen without impeccable leadership. And that is something worth celebrating!

Do you know what else is worth celebrating? A female Chief Customer Officer ascended into the CEO position. It takes a rare breed of person and accomplishment to do that. Yamini is known for her work ethic, wealth of experience, and desire to send a positive message to young women about their place in business. Yamini was also recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Business in 2019. We know that what she will bring to the table is an extraordinary perspective on business, technology, and CS.

Yancey Spruill is the CEO of DigitalOcean, known for its digital storage and networking products and solutions powered by cloud technology. Their offerings and products—from website hosting and virtual private networks to scalable virtual machines, gaming development, video streaming, and database management, powered by cloud technology. DigitalOCean is changing the face of business not only with technology but also with simplicity and community.

DigitalOcean is at the forefront of a worldwide community of developers and business owners that espouse not only the use of technology but education. He once stated in CEO Magazine that “Millions of people come to our community for advice and tutorials. When you invest in a community, you build a stickiness that can pay long-term dividends.” His approach to technology, business, and community is inspiring. Yancey also understands that this type of mentality becomes contagious. So, he is always willing to share his knowledge with other leaders and the broader community. Now, that is something worth celebrating.

Erica Schultz and Roger Scott from Confluent Talk Go-to-Market Strategies

Gainsight knows a thing or two about category creation. And Confluent is innovating a new category of data infrastructure. Their product enables real-time data from multiple sources to stream across an organization continuously. Essentially it’s harnessing the power of data in motion while delivering the digital experience customers want from real-time business functionality.

Gainsight congratulates Confluent’s leadership for their pioneering strides in what is essentially a new category. That is why our CRO, Jeff Depa, invited Confluent’s President of Field Operations, Erica Schultz, and their CCO, Roger Scott, to sit down for a fireside chat. Roger has extensive experience in the leadership of global companies. As Confluent’s CCO, he joined to unite Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Account Management to ensure customers are successful as they move up the event streaming maturity curve. Erica is known for her ability to build high-performing teams in the enterprise technology industry. At Confluent, she drives global scale, revenue growth, customer success, and partner ecosystem maturity across industries and geographies.

What shall they discuss with Jeff? The perfect go-to-market strategy for a company essentially pioneering a new category and product that is transformative to all business sizes.

Aaron Levie Will Talk Product and Customer Success being Better Together

Since the beginning of Pulse, Aaron has been a part of this event. And Gainsight cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for this relationship. Their company is all about connection.

Aaron stated in a Mckinsey and Company article that there is a “synergy between product adoption, marketing-oriented education for the customer base, customer success and support—really helping customers with their use cases, all the way over to sales, enabling the renewal to drive expansion—that is the lifeblood of our business and certainly is for any modern SaaS company.” Does that speak to connection and better together? We think so! And that is precisely what he will share on the Pulse stage.
